For coaches
Coach the team,
not the inbox.
The roster, the practice schedule, who turned up, and the details families keep asking for are all one place — for every team you coach, not just the first one.
Your director adds you and you set your own password from the emailed link — nobody hands you one.
More than one team
One login, every team you coach.
A row of team buttons sits at the top, and everything below follows it — roster, practices, attendance, messages. It remembers the one you were last on, so you aren't re-picking it every time.
Your roster, edited by you
Add, edit and remove your own players. Two on the same jersey number gets a warning that takes a second tap to go past, not a quiet duplicate.
Three steps, then it goes away
A short checklist — load your roster, invite the parents, put a practice up. It ticks itself off and disappears when you’re done.
A hat, not a second account
Coaching one team and parenting on another is one login with a view switcher. Switching changes what you see, never what you reach.
The practice week
Set the season once.
Every Tuesday and Thursday to the end of the season, created in one go. Edit a single session or that one and every later one — you say which, rather than finding out afterwards.
A clash, while you're still typing
Put another team’s gym and court in and a line appears under the field before you save, with the times it had found.
Changes families can read
An edit tells the team what actually changed — 6:00 PM–8:00 PM → 6:30 PM–8:30 PM. Nothing sends if nothing changed.
Called off, not deleted
A cancelled session stays on everyone’s schedule with your reason on it. Running late is its own state — still on, just later.
There's a line for what the session is working on, too. Families see it, which is the cheapest way to get a player arriving ready for the thing you planned.
Attendance
Taken on the floor, not from memory.
Your own day lists every practice you have, each with a button to take the roll. One tap marks the room present — and anyone a family already marked out is set to excused rather than wrongly present.
- A mark you've already made is never overwritten, so the one-tap button becomes "mark the rest present" once you've started.
- Before you get there: how many are expected and who's out, with whatever their family typed as the reason.
- Each player carries present 5 of last 6, and a season count later on — counting only the sessions they were actually marked for.
- If the app couldn't check who was marked out, it says so instead of reporting an empty list as "nobody out".
Match day
Answer it once, for everyone.
Call time, venue and directions, check-in, what to wear and bring, your note to families, and your ref duty. Save it and the change goes to the whole team with what moved — rather than to the eleven people who happened to ask.
Arrival times you set once
Two numbers for the team — before a match, before ref duty — and every match gets its own "On court by" each day.
Scores, set by set
A row per set and the result. Mark a match as live and the running score appears on every family’s screen. Linked events refresh alone.
Lineups, on a court
Tap a spot, tap a player. Keep it between coaches or share it per lineup. A player marked out shows dimmed, and sharing needs a tap.
Jobs and rides
Post the jobs the team needs and watch them fill. You see every ride offered and wanted, which is how you spot who has nobody.
The day, closed out
When the last result is in and no duty is left, the day’s record comes up with a send as an update button, the message already there.
Film, where the match is
A season channel for the team and a link on an individual match. Nothing is held — the link opens out to where the video lives.
The part that isn't volleyball
Families, handled.
Get them in
Invite your team’s parents by email, and see which players still have nobody in the app. When email fails, copy the join link and text it.
Emergency details, at the venue
Allergies and conditions in red, a call button on each contact, and a count of who is missing. Parents write it; you read it, signal or not.
Messages that landed
Send to a team, an event, or the families you pick. Read in app 8 of 20, and one tap re-sends to only the ones who haven’t opened it.
Your own shelf
Add technique videos and conditioning work for your teams — a level and an age target. Weighted exercises lock to 13 up.
Development, in their words and yours
Positions, a one-to-five read on six skills, and a focus note the family sees — a coaching guide, not a grade. The athlete writes their goal.
What you can't see
The numbers an athlete logs against your targets. Not a setting switched off, but a view never built — the progress is theirs alone.
Only how many, never who
You won't be shown which families haven't opened a message, only how many — because on a teenager's own account, who read what and when is a child's activity. The app sends the reminder for you instead.
Your director adds you. You take it from there.
You'll get an email with a link to set your own password — no credentials handed over, and nothing to install. If your club isn't on My Volley Way yet, the director's side is worth five minutes of their time.
